The Lumen Awards program was conceived by the New York City Section of the IES in 1968 and developed to encourage and publicly recognize excellence, professionalism, ingenuity and originality in lighting design.

Lumen Awards are NYC section level recognitions of the IES Illumination Awards. Recipients of 2009 Lumen Awards will be presented on June 10, 2009 at our Lumen Gala.

To qualify for a Lumen Award your design office must be within the NYC or Mid-Hudson jurisdiction/zip code:

...for NYC: within the boroughs of Manhattan, Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, and Staten Island

... for Mid-Hudson: within the counties of Orange, Ulster, Dutchess, Rockland, and Westchester
