The IESNY is Pleased to Announce the Winners

First Place:  Ernesto Klar , MFA candidate in Design and Technology at Parsons School of Design (Instructor: Christopher Kirwan)

Klar is an MFA candidate in Design and Technology at Parsons The New School For Design in New York City, and holds a Composition degree from Berklee College of Music in Boston. His works have been presented at the Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston, the Danspace Project, Roulette Intermedium in New York City, the Center of Contemporary Culture of Barcelona (Spain), and 'Casa de los Morlanes' in Zaragoza (Spain), among others. Klar's awards include grants, fellowships, and commissions from the Cambridge Arts Council,  the Massachusetts Cultural Council, the Italian Cultural Institute of  New York, and the Jerome Foundation/Roulette.

 

Second Place:  Emil Klein , sculpture major from Pratt Institute (Instructor: John Monti)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Third Pace:  Chen Lin He, interior design major from the Fashion Institute of Technology (Instructor: Randy Sabedra)

Chen Lin He is a senior studying interior design at the Fashion Institute of Technology.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Honorable Mention:  Kimberly Acosta , interior design major from the Fashion Institute of Technology (Instructor: Randy Sabedra)

Ms Acosta is currently attending the Fashion Institute of Technology as an undergraduate student who will be receiving a Bachelor's Degree in the Fine Arts of Interior Design in May 2006.  Her experience includes working for Jonathan Baron Design Associates, a full-service commercial and residential Interior Design firm. Ms Acosta intends on utilizing her business experience in the Interior Design field along with her knowledge of design in future endeavors.  

 

Honorable Mention:  Ji-Hoon Chung, industrial design major from Pratt Institute (Instructor: Katrin Mueller-Russo)
